LIGHT (DRAINING) ADDITIONS ARGEX LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE

LIGHT (DRAINING) ADDITIONS

Light (draining) additions with loose, non-cementitious, Argex grain:

a. On construction elements such as underground car parks or on floors.

b. Along vertical walls (walls, basements, retaining walls,…) to reduce the horizontal load on the structures.

c. Under the floor slab as a worthy alternative to pile foundations. These “Compensating Foundations” reduce the weight on the substrate by approximately 1 ton/m³ of fill material.

d. To obtain a certain insulation value and to be able to save on traditional insulation materials. The “Thermo floors” create a seamless thermal insulation with a clay grain that is included on the EPB list.

ARGEX LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE

Prefab elements as well as ready-mixed concrete and pumpable concrete are possible. Our concrete specialist makes the best composition specifically for each project to obtain the correct ratio between “weight” and “strength”. See our Argex Lightweight Concrete. For specific information on pumpable concrete, we refer to our Argex Pumpmix brochure.
